Refreshing the twitter feed 3 times in a row and nothing new appears
Feeling proud that someone favourited or retweeted your tweet. So much so that if you met someone who'd just finished a marathon, you'd make them feel like they're under achieving
Feeling the need to tell the world someone famous replied to the 100th tweet you sent them... forgetting to mention it just quoted your annoying message and said "people like this..."
Using tweets instead of a direct message or a simple text! Twitter is for telling the whole world something right? So no one cares if you want to get pizza with Kim on Saturday.
Slipping hashtags into everyday life
Quoting famous people
Tweeting about breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Having multiple accounts so you can tweet more and not annoy the same people.
...and many many more. I'll post them when they come to mind
It's been an aimless day... I can't concentrate. The usual things plus extra complications of late. Run this morning with Cross Country people was really enjoyable though. We headed over bridge and did a loop that included Leigh Woods; I've never run in there before so it was nice to get a guided tour. Planning to go for a run over there with Kate this coming week. Watched Giro as per usual. Did very little maths. Let slip to Charlie about "Situation X"; he said he'd always be there to talk, but I really don't feel like talking. Besides, my emotions are all bottled up for the one person who I felt I was free to show my emotions around. What a sad existence this is. Typing on a blog for no one to see about me. Hell, I wouldn't read this shit again... A small excuse for any grammatical errors that slip up. I feel like I need some life distractions, however being distracted=zero revision. It's an impossible situation as far as I see it.
Some hefty fines to slap on dog owners not cleaning up do dos! My mind is whirring at the possibilities here. A quick fancy dress shop visit for an 'outfit of authority' should do the trick. £60 spot fines sounds reasonable. Beats slogging away at £5/hr. Fortunately for my neighbours my awesome ideas are rarely followed through on.
Snapped a number 1 that must've been drawn by a 3 year old... it's facing the wrong way! Pernickety as I may be, it's just plain wrong.
And a healthy reminder that it's spring and things are green which generally makes the world a bit of a happier place.
So close, yet so far! They're visiting Cardiff just across the water and it happens to be going to Liverpool, so I thought I'd spread the word about it. Made me jealous of anyone in Liverpool though... and that's always bad.
Sports Update Shattered after an awesome ride with Mat today. Legs were really hurting at end. Glad it was only an hour and a half. Really went for it though. We worked very nicely as a team which felt amazing seeing as I haven't been on bike in a while.
Prawn curry with pasta and cheese? Tasty and filled me up after run, but a nice hint to get off my arse and go to the shops. I don't think there's much you can do with 300g of dried lentils, a chocolate bar and some pesto... a challenge perhaps?
After hammering my brain with Laplace Transforms all morning I needed a break. So I headed off on a run with the intention to improvise the route. The first 5k was just over 20mins thanks to a very gradual downhill and me pushing it a bit. Some random paths and winding roads through housing estates later, I ended up somewhere to the East of Bristol on the wrong side of the M32. Oh! Fortunately I stumbled upon a tunnel under it and that lead me straight up to the 'Yellow Pages Man's House'. There's a story behind this one. On the way to BUCS tri we passed Stokes Park Estate as pictured and Andrew managed to convince a few people that it was owned by the man who had 'invented' the yellow pages. This came back to me as I saw it and made me chuckle to myself. That was coupled with the fact I overtook a cyclist on the uphill drag past the house and I now knew roughly where I was... well at least vaguely the direction back home. It felt good to be pounding the roads again on what turned out to be a lovely 1hr route. My outlet for speaking for ages about my sporting endeavours has gone on temporary leave, so I feel this blog may become littered with the ups and downs of my sporting exploits.
